Committees
Our dedicated committees make the work we do at Chalmers possible! We are currently looking for new committee members. If you or someone you know has experience in any of the following fields and would like to get involved, we would love to hear from you!
Finance Committee
The Financial Committee plans the budget for the year and discusses the financing of upcoming projects. This committee completes most of their work via email, so in-person meetings are only held as-needed. (1-1.5hrs / month)
Microfinance Committee
The Microfinance Committee oversees the microfinance program and brings any issues around policy or direction to the board. This committee holds the occasional coffee-shop meeting with various officials at the call of the chair. (1 hr / 2-3 months)
Program Committee
The Program Committee meets every other month (7:15 pm on the 3rd Monday) to address current needs brought forth by CCSC staff, volunteers and guests, and establish long-term goals for CCSC programs & services through intentional visioning sessions and ongoing communication with the Board. (1 hr 45 mins / 2 months excl. summer months)
Personnel Committee
The Personnel Committee assists the Board of Directors with Human Resource responsibilities for CCSC employees. This committee meets a minimum of twice per year, though additional meetings may be called by the Chair if needed. (-1 hr / 6 months)
Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee builds relationships with the community to foster the financial and in-kind donations that fund the CCSC’s programs and services. Meetings can be called by the chair or any two members of the Committee. (2-4 hours/month)
Communication Committee
The Communication Committee engages donors and the community at large through marketing and communication tasks that promote brand awareness and consistent messaging. This committee meets monthly on Friday mornings with some additional work between meetings. (1.5-3 hrs / month)
